Bill Barisoff has lived in Oliver all of his life. He is the owner of a trucking business and small fruit farm. He was also a member of the Okanagan Labour Relations Council.

Mr. Barisoff has devoted considerable time to community service. He was a school trustee for 17 years, including eight years as the school board chair. He has been a member of the volunteer fire department for 25 years. He has also coached high school basketball.

Bill and Edna Barisoff have three sons.
