| Linda Reid has been an MLA since
1991. She has held a variety of critic portfolios including
Health, Attorney General, WCB, Women's Equality, Science and
Technology, and Children and Families.
Ms. Reid graduated from the University of British Columbia
with an education degree. She holds a Master of Arts degree
from UBC specializing in education, exceptional learners,
language acquisition and public administration.
She has worked as a teacher and language therapist as well
as a school administrator for the Richmond School District.
She has been active in the Richmond Chamber of Commerce,
Asia Pacific Business Association, the Canadian Council for
Exceptional Children and the Family Court Committee of Richmond.
She is a founding member of the Richmond Chinatown Lions Club.
Linda is also the current chair of the Canadian Guide Dogs
of British Columbia.
Linda resides in Richmond East with her husband Sheldon Friesen
and daughter Olivia. |
