John Wilson is a veterinarian who established a practice in Quesnel in 1967.

He and his family operate a ranch in Quesnel. He has also served as president of the Quesnel Cattleman's Association and the Quesnel Feeder's Association.

He was a member of the Cariboo-Chilcotin Regional Resource Board.
