FINANCE COMMITTEE ADDS NEW HEARING ON BUDGET 2010

VICTORIA – As part of the Budget 2010 consultation process, the all-party Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services will hold an additional videoconferencing hearing on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 8:30 am-12 noon. The hearing will provide opportunities for presentations from the communities of Nelson, Prince Rupert and Nanaimo.

The Finance Committee also offers the public the opportunity to respond on-line to the questions in the Budget 2010 Consultation Paper, and welcomes submissions by letter, fax, or e-mail, or by uploading an audio or video file. The consultation process closes on October 23, 2009 to enable the Committee to begin preparing its report, which must be completed no later than November 15.
