Each fall, the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services holds province-wide public consultations on the next provincial budge pursuant to Section 2 of the Budget Transparency and Accountability Act [SBC 2000] Chapter 23. The Committee is also empowered to consider and to make recommendations on the annual reports, rolling three-year service plans and budgets of BC's eight statutory officers.
The Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services is one of nine permanent all-party committees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia.
