The Speaker: Hon. members, I have the honour to table the following documents: annual report of the Legislative Assembly Management Committee for the period of July 18, 1994, to April 31, 1996; financial statement of the office of the auditor general of British Columbia for the years ended March 31, 1994, and March 31, 1995; report of the chief electoral officer relating to the May 3, 1995, by-election in Abbotsford electoral district, pursuant to section 5(9) of the Election Act of 1979; report of the conflict-of-interest commissioner, 1995-96; auditor general 1995-96 report No. 1, report on the 1994-95 public accounts for the province of British Columbia; auditor general 1995-96 report No. 2, performance audits of the British Columbia Ferry Corporation; auditor general 1995-96 report No. 3, compliance-with-authorities audits; and special report No. 18 of the ombudsman, with respect to a complaint regarding an unfair public hearing process in the city of Port Moody.

Hon. G. Gardom (Lieutenant-Governor): Hon. Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly, good morning. In closing this fourth session of the thirty-fifth parliament of British Columbia, I wish to commend you on the accomplishments of the past year. The session has seen the passage of measures of wide-ranging and significant importance to the people of our province. Also, hon. members, on behalf of all British Columbians I wish to express my appreciation for the care and attention you have given to your deliberations. I now relieve you of your legislative duties.

Hon. U. Dosanjh: Hon. Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly, it is His Honour the Lieutenant-Governor's will and pleasure that the Legislative Assembly be prorogued until 2 p.m. today, and this provincial Legislative Assembly is hereby prorogued accordingly.
