Emergency Planning

In the event of an emergency, or change to status of the Parliament Buildings, this webpage would be updated with instructions and information to assist to Members of the Legislative Assembly, legislative staff, and visitors.  Information may include precinct security alerts, closures and openings during emergencies or unfavorable weather situations.

Security services for the Parliament Buildings and precinct grounds are provided 24 hours a day by Legislative Assembly Protective Services (LAPS). LAPS is also responsible for advising and assisting with security matters concerning constituency offices. All Assembly employees should familiarize themselves with emergency procedures in order to ensure their own safety and the safety of others in an emergency. In the event of a security incident or emergency situation, follow the direction of Legislative Assembly Protective Services or designated emergency wardens.

To report a matter of personal or public safety, or if you observe any suspicious activity, please contact Legislative Assembly Protective Services.
