Members' Public Disclosure Statements, Notices of Material Change, and Gifts

As part of the Conflict of Interest Commissioner’s responsibilities under the Members’ Conflict of Interest Act (R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 287), the Commissioner oversees the annual public disclosure process for Members of the Legislative Assembly. As part of that process, once Members have submitted their confidential disclosure forms and met with the Commissioner, the Commissioner prepares a Public Disclosure Statement for each Member, which is filed with the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly.

If a Member discloses a material change to the Commissioner, a Notice of Material Change is filed with the Clerk and is attached to the Member’s most recent Public Disclosure Statement.

In 2019, the Legislative Assembly Management Committee authorized the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly to post Members’ Public Disclosure Statements and any Notices of Material Change on the Legislative Assembly’s website once they are received by the Clerk.

Pursuant to a 2019 decision by the Legislative Assembly Management Committee a PDF of each Member’s Public Disclosure Statement and any Notices of Material Change are posted on this webpage. Statements will be removed from this webpage five years after the dissolution of a Parliament.
