Group Tour Information

Please note: due to the COVID-19 pandemic, public education and tour programs inside the Parliament Buildings are suspended until further notice.

​​Parliamentary tours provide an enjoyable and informative experience for all visitors, focusing on the role of the Legislative Assembly and MLAs, the history of both the province of British Columbia and of the Parliament Buildings. It is our goal to foster an understanding of the legislative process, an awareness of BC's political history and an appreciation for the beauty and significance of the Parliament Buildings.​

Fall, Winter and Spring Schedule

Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays):

8:30 am to 5:00 pm (last entry at 4:30 pm).

Summer Schedule

Monday to Sunday:  9:00 am to 5:00 pm.​

On weekends and holidays visitors must join a free public tour or reserve a group tour in order to enter the Parliament Buildings.

All tours are free of charge. ​​​


Tours are offered in English and French throughout the year. Other languages may be possible depending on the availability of staff. Please contact us for more information​.

Tour Length

Tours last approximately 30 – 45 minutes. If you would like a shorter tour or have any other special requests, we would be happy to adapt the tour to suit the needs of your group.

Group Size

Guided tours are offered to groups of 15 to 40 people. We request that groups with more than 40 visitors book multiple tours.

Individuals or groups of 14 or less do not need to make a reservation and can join one of our regularly scheduled free public tours. 

General Information

Food and drinks are not permitted inside of the Parliament Buildings, but groups are welcome to make a reservation in the Parliamentary Dining Room​.


There is no public parking available on the property. Street parking and pay-parking lots are located nearby. For more information, please visit our Visitor Parking page.

Special Access Requirements

The Parliament Buildings are accessible for visitors in wheelchairs and those with limited mobility or young children in strollers. Please follow the ramp on the west side of the Main Entrance steps and ring the buzzer for assistance.
