MINISTER OF FINANCE AND
CORPORATE RELATIONS
HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:
1 An account called the Health Special Account is established as a special account in the general fund of the consolidated revenue fund.
2 The account shall consist of 1/2 of the amounts that are paid into the consolidated revenue fund under section 8 of the Lottery Corporation Act up to a maximum in each fiscal year that is equal to the amount shown in the Estimates as revenue in the Health Special Account for that fiscal year.
3 On the written authorization of the Minister of Health, money may be paid out of the account for the administration, operation and delivery of health care, health research, health promotion and health education services.
4 This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on April 1, 1992 and is retroactive to the extent necessary to give it effect on and after that date.
