Prayers by the Speaker.

Order called for "Oral Questions by Members."

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Pursuant to Order, the House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion "Be it resolved that this House debate the merits of the Canadian Unity Agreement reached in Charlottetown on August 28, 1992."

The debate continued.

On the motion of the Hon. G. Clark, the debate was adjourned until later today.

The Hon. G. Clark moved--
That the House continue to sit until not later than 10 o'clock p.m. today.

Pursuant to Order, the House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion "Be it resolved that this House debate the merits of the Canadian Unity Agreement reached in Charlottetown on August 28, 1992."

The debate continued.

On the motion of the Hon. A. Hagen, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

And then the House adjourned at 10 o'clock p.m.

63   The Hon. M. Harcourt to move--
Be it resolved that the Legislative Assembly supports a Georgia Basin Initiative that would, in close consultation with other governments and interested parties in the region (including in particular the Government of the State of Washington), promote effective management of current rapid growth and urbanization in the Basin and preserve a high quality of life for the people living there.
 
64   The Hon. D. Zirnhelt to move--
Be it resolved that this Legislature call upon the Government of Canada to not ratify the North American Free Trade Agreement as initialled on October 7, 1992.
