Prayers by Mr. Weisgerber.

Mr. Mitchell rose on a point of order relating to section 21 of Bill (No. 55) intituled Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act (No. 3), 1995, as it pertains to the Legislative Assembly Allowances and Pension Act, and tabled a copy of a letter to the Conflict of Interest Commissioner, requesting his opinion.

The Hon. C. Gabelmann made representations.

Mr. Weisgerber made representations.

Mr. Hurd made representations.

Mr. Serwa made representations.

The Speaker stated that he would take the matter under advisement.

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Order called for "Private Members' Statements."

By leave, Mr. Hurd tabled a copy of a document referred to in Private Members' Statements.

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. M 201) intituled Dual Elected Office Prohibition Act, the Bill was stood down with unanimous consent.

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. M 202) intituled An Act to Promote the Reuse of Construction and Demolition Materials, a debate arose.

Bill (No. M 202) read a second time and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for committal at the next sitting after today.

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. M 203) intituled An Act to Designate a Provincial Heritage Site at the Inaugural Plantation at Green Timbers, a debate arose, which was, on the motion of the Hon. J. MacPhail, adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

By leave of the House, the Hon. C. Gabelmann, on behalf of Mr. Krog, moved second reading of Bill(No. M 204) intituled Libel and Slander Amendment Act, 1995.

A debate arose.

Bill (No. M 204) read a second time, on division, and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for committal at the next sitting after today.

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. M 205) intituled Parliamentary Calendar Act, 1995, a debate arose.

On the motion of Mr. Schreck that the debate for second reading of Bill (No. M 205) be adjourned to the next sitting of the House, the House divided.
