Prayers by Mr. Weisbeck.The Hon. A. Petter (Minister of Finance and Corporate Relations and Minister Responsible for Intergovernmental Relations) tabled the Financial Statements of the British Columbia Educational Institutions Capital Financing Authority, as at March 31, 1996.
By leave, on the motion of the Hon. J. MacPhail, it was Ordered that leave be given for the Special Committee of Selection to meet while the House is in session today.
The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."
Pursuant to Order, the House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion "That the Speaker do now leave the Chair" for the House to go into Committee of Supply.
The debate continued.
On the motion of Mr. Calendino, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

Order called for "Oral Questions by Members."The Hon. D. Miller (Minister of Employment and Investment and Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing) tabled the Science Council of British Columbia Annual Review and Financial Review, 1995/96.
Mr. Stevenson requested that the Speaker convey the best wishes of the Legislative Assembly to the 11th Annual International Conference on AIDS, taking place in Vancouver.
Ms. Sanders made a statement.
The Speaker advised that he would convey these wishes on behalf of the Legislative Assembly.
