The Hon. D. Lovick (Speaker) tabled the following:

Financial Statement of the Office of the Auditor General of British Columbia for the year ended March 31, 1997; and

Auditor General 1996/97: Report 10 -- Compliance-with-Authorities Audits.

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Bill (No. 11) intituled Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Statutes Amendment Act, 1997 was read a third time and passed.

Bill (No. 22) intituled Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 1997 was read a third time and passed.

Order for Committee of Supply called.

Pursuant to Sessional Order, order called for Section A of Committee of Supply (estimates of the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks).

Bill (No. 16) intituled Police Amendment Act, 1997 was committed.

The Committee rose, reported progress and asked leave to sit again.

Bill to be considered later today.

29. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $400,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks, Minister's Office, to 31st March, 1998.

30. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $166,210,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks, Ministry Operations, to 31st March, 1998.

63. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $16,522,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Other Appropriations, Environmental Assessment and Land Use Coordination, to 31st March, 1998.

64. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $2,076,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Other Appropriations, Environmental Boards and Forest Appeals Commission, to 31st March, 1998.


Section A of Committee of Supply reported the Resolutions and completion of the estimates of the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks.

Bill (No. 15) intituled Pharmacists, Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Amendment Act, 1997 was committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

The House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 20) intituled Public Sector Employers Amendment Act, 1997.
