The Lieutenant Governor transmits herewith Bill (No. 59) intituled Tuition Fee Freeze Act and recommends the same to the Legislative Assembly.

18. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $803,358,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Attorney General, Ministry Operations, to 31st March, 2000.

19. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $49,875,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Attorney General, Statutory Services, to 31st March, 2000.

20. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $43,961,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Attorney General, Judiciary, to 31st March, 2000.

NOTICE OF MOTIONS

  64  The Hon. G. Clark to move--
Be it resolved that this House take note of the Government's intention to introduce a series of legislative initiatives to protect health care and education to help make British Columbia's economy more competitive and specifically, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, measures to assist the housing sector, revisions to the Company Act, revisions to British Columbia's liquor laws, legislation to relieve red tape, changes to the Land Title Act, changes to the Agricultural Land Reserve legislation, changes to Forestry legislation, changes to the Co-operative Association Act, changes to the Consumer Protection Act, improvements to the Election Act and changes to the Municipal Act.

NOTICE OF QUESTIONS

  8  Mr. Thorpe to ask the Hon. the Minister for Children and Families the following question--
Would you please advise when funding will be restored to Barbara and Joe Rodrigues in order that they can provide the care they feel is necessary to care for their 5 year old son Jeremy?
 
  9  Mr. Thorpe to ask the Hon. the Attorney General the following question--
When will the Attorney General meet with the Canada West Ski Association to discuss the government's proposed search and rescue funding formula?
 
  10  Mr. Thorpe to ask the Hon. the Minister of Small Business, Tourism and Culture the following question--
When will you act as an advocate for tourism to ensure the very important British Columbia ski industry has the opportunity to meet with the Attorney General regarding proposed search and rescue fund formulas?
 
  11  Mr. Thorpe to ask the Hon. the Premier the following question--
Can the Premier advise if he has instructed the Minister of Health to meet with Mrs. Leslie Gibbenhuck of Penticton, to receive her views on behalf of Hepatitis C victims?
And if so, when and where?
