PROPOSED AMENDMENTS ON NOTICE

45  The Hon. S. Hagen to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 45) intituled Community Living Authority Act, to amend as follows:

SECTION 5,

(a) in the proposed subsection (1) by deleting "9 directors" and substituting "11 directors",

(b) in the proposed subsection (2) by adding ", other than a director referred to subsection (3.1)," after "All directors",

(c) in the proposed subsection (3) by adding "and section 6 (2) (c)" after "Subject to subsection (2),", and

(d) by adding the following subsection:

(3.1) Subject to section 6 (2) (c), 2 of the directors must be individuals referred to in the definition of "community living support".

SECTION 6 (2),

(a) in the proposed paragraph (a) be deleting "and",

(b) in the proposed paragraph (b) by deleting "section 5 (2) and (3)," and substituting "section 5 (2), (3) and (3.1)," and by adding ", and" at the end of the paragraph, and

(c) by adding the following paragraph:

(c) the board continues to operate until a replacement director is appointed under paragraph (a) or (b).

45  Ms. Kwan to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 45) intituled Community Living Authority Act, to amend as follows:

SECTION 5 (3), by deleting the text highlighted in strikeout and inserting the text highlighted by underline:

Subject to subsection (2), a majority of directors must be

(a) individuals referred to in the definition of "community living support", or

(b) individuals who have a significant connection to are family members of the individuals referred to in paragraph (a) , including family members.

SECTION 12 (2), by deleting the text highlighted by strikeout:

In developing a proposed plan referred to in subsection (1) in relation to the provision of community living support, the authority must endeavour to:
