 46  By leave, the House resumed the adjourned debate on Motion 46 with respect to the economic and environmental importance of the working land base and the need to adopt a balanced approach to its use.

On the motion of Mr. Hawes, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

And then the House adjourned at 11.58 a.m.

Bill (No. 14) intituled Vancouver Tourism Levy Enabling Act was committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

Bill (No. 24) intituled Motor Dealer Amendment Act, 2004 was committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

Pursuant to Sessional Order, order called for Section B of Committee of Supply.

The Committee recessed until 6.45 p.m.

17. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $486,921,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Community, Aboriginal and Women's Services, Ministry Operations, to 31st March, 2005.

18. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $12,105,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Community, Aboriginal and Women's Services, Transfer to Royal British Columbia Museum, to 31st March, 2005.


Section B of Committee of Supply reported the Resolutions and completion of the Ministry of Community, Aboriginal and Women's Services.

Be it resolved that this House promotes the idea and principle that hospitals and physicians should be required to report gunshot wounds and knife injuries to their local police department.
 
 113  Mr. Mayencourt to move--
Be it resolved that this House urges the Canadian Senate to pass Bill C250 amending the hate propaganda provision of subsection 318(4) of the Criminal Code to expand the definition of "identifiable group" to include protection on the basis of sexual orientation.
