Bill (No. 28) intituled Coal Act was committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 31) intituled Nanaimo and South West Water Supply Act, a debate arose.

Bill (No. 31) read a second time and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for committal at the next sitting after today.

Pursuant to Sessional Order, order called for Section B of Committee of Supply.

Section B of Committee of Supply reported progress of the estimates of the Ministry of Advanced Education.

Report to be considered at the next sitting.

Be it resolved that this House promotes the idea and principle that hospitals and physicians should be required to report gunshot wounds and knife injuries to their local police department.
 
 113  Mr. Mayencourt to move--
Be it resolved that this House urges the Canadian Senate to pass Bill C250 amending the hate propaganda provision of subsection 318(4) of the Criminal Code to expand the definition of "identifiable group" to include protection on the basis of sexual orientation.
