PUBLIC WRITTEN QUESTIONS
Will the Minister restore free collective bargaining in the public sector and remove the 0% wage mandate now that there is clearly no economic justification for such restrictions? (Answered.)
Vestas Wind Technology Inc., the largest builder of wind generation machines in the world, is willing to invest millions of dollars to build a factory in Squamish that will create up to 185 full time jobs. But they won't do it unless B.C. Hydro gives a firm commitment to purchase wind generated electricity at a fair price. Will your government require B.C. Hydro to purchase at least 1,000 mw of wind generated electricity at 7 cents per kw (the same price new energy produced by Fossil fuels costs)?
As the Government Caucus Liaison for Women's Equality, can you tell us what plans (if any) the government has to deal with the increasing gender wage gap in British Columbia?
