As the Government Caucus Liaison for Women's Equality, can you tell us what plans (if any) the government has to deal with the increasing gender wage gap in British Columbia?

  5  Adriane Carr, Leader, Green Party of British Columbia, to ask the Minister of Health Services, regarding the Minister's responsibility for BC Health Authorities, the following question: --

At the February 22 open board meeting of Vancouver Coastal Health in Powell River, the board revealed that there are 654 nurse vacancies in this health authority and an average wait time of 12 days for patients in hospital beds who need to be discharged to residential care that isn't available. How are the nurse vacancies and delays in discharging patients to community care affecting the emergency room and surgical wait times and what are the plans and timelines for the Ministry of Health to fill the nurse vacancies and provide the needed residential care?
