The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 2) intituled Thompson Rivers University Act, a debate arose.

Bill (No. 2) read a second time and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for committal at the next sitting after today.

Bill (No. 4) intituled Attorney General Statutes Amendment Act, 2005 was committed.

The Committee rose, reported progress and asked leave to sit again.

Bill to be considered later today.

And then the House adjourned at 11.58 a.m.

Order called for "Oral Questions by Members."

The Hon. G. Plant (Attorney General and Minister Responsible for Treaty Negotiations) tabled the Final Report of the Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform entitled Making Every Vote Count: The Case for Electoral Reform in British Columbia.

Mr. Bray presented the Final Report of the Special Committee on the Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform for the fifth session of the Thirty-seventh Parliament.

The Report was taken as read and received.

By leave of the House, Mr. Bray moved that the Report be adopted.

Motion agreed to.

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Bill (No. 4) intituled Attorney General Statutes Amendment Act, 2005 was again committed.

In consideration of section 5 of Bill (No. 4) the Committee divided nemini contradicente as follows:

Pursuant to Order, the House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion "That the Speaker do now leave the Chair" for the House to go into Committee of Supply.

The debate continued.

On the motion of Mr. Bray, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

And then the House adjourned at 5.55 p.m.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC WRITTEN QUESTIONS

2 Barry O'Neill, President, Canadian Union of Public Employees -- BC Division, to ask the Minister of Finance, regarding the Minister's responsibility for public sector wage mandates, the following question: --
Will the Minister restore free collective bargaining in the public sector and remove the 0% wage mandate now that there is clearly no economic justification for such restrictions?
