Mr. Lekstrom presented the First Report of the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services for the First Session of the Thirty-Eighth Parliament entitled Report on the 2006 Budget Consultation Process.

The Report was taken as read and received.

By leave of the House, Mr. Lekstrom moved that the Report be adopted.

A debate arose.

Motion agreed to.

 89  Mr. Coons to move--
Be it resolved that this House honour contracts with business and labour, restore free-collective bargaining, and foster collaboration and balance between workers and employers.
 
 90  Mr. Coons to move--
Be it resolved that this House agree to continue the moratorium on off-shore oil and gas exploration until all comprehensive environmental risk assessments are complete, as well as full consultation with communities and First Nations whose territories are impacted.
 
 91  Mr. Coons to move--
Be it resolved that this House agree to ensure that British Columbia companies have equal opportunity to bid in their own province on public projects, as well as private ones, that are funded by taxpayer's money.
