The House recessed until 11.10 a.m.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, having entered the chamber, addressed the Assembly.

The Hon. G. Campbell (Premier) made remarks.

Ms. C. James (Leader of the Official Opposition) made remarks.

Her Excellency the Governor General was then pleased to retire.

And then the House adjourned at 11.41 a.m.

Two o'clock p.m.

Order called for "Members' Statements."

Order called for "Oral Questions by Members."

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Order for Committee of Supply called.

Pursuant to Sessional Order, order called for Section A of Committee of Supply.

Pursuant to Order, the House resumed the adjourned debate on the Address in Reply to the Speech of Her Honour the Lieutenant Governor at the opening of the Session.

The debate continued.

On the motion of Mr. Cubberley, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

Section A of Committee of Supply reported progress of the estimates of the Ministry of Finance.

Report to be considered at the next sitting.

Committee to sit again at the next sitting.

And then the House adjourned at 5.52 p.m.
