On the motion of Ms. James, Bill (No. M 214) intituled Minimum Wage Fairness Act, 2007 was introduced, read a first time, and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for second reading at the next sitting after today.

On the motion of Mr. Austin, Bill (No. M 215) intituled Water Resource Protection Act, 2007 was introduced, read a first time, and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for second reading at the next sitting after today.

Order called for "Members' Statements."

Order called for "Oral Questions by Members."

By leave, Mr. Krog tabled a document referred to during Oral Question Period.

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Order for Committee of Supply called.

Pursuant to Sessional Order, order called for Section A and Section B of Committee of Supply.

Section B of Committee of Supply reported progress of the estimates of the Ministry of Forests and Range.

Report to be considered at the next sitting.

Committee to sit again at the next sitting.

25. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $5,494,380,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Education, Ministry Operations, to 31st March, 2008.


Section A of Committee of Supply reported the Resolution and completion of the estimates of the Ministry of Education and further reported progress of the estimates of the Ministry of Advanced Education.

Report to be considered at the next sitting.

Committee to sit again at the next sitting.

By agreement, summary debate of estimates passed in Section A (Ministry of Education) to be considered at the next sitting.

And then the House adjourned at 6.25 p.m.

NOTICE OF MOTIONS

 49  The Hon. M. de Jong to move--
Be it resolved that in the spirit of the Province's New Relationship with the First Nations and Aboriginal people, the Legislative Assembly accept and adopt the 2001 Report of the Speaker's Advisory Panel titled "A Review of the Depiction of Aboriginal Peoples in the Artworks of the Parliament Buildings" and refer this matter to the Legislative Assembly Management Committee for implementation of the report's recommendation.
