Be it resolved that this House demand the government immediately convene an emergency summit on the future of forestry in this province which will allow communities, workers and the citizens of British Columbia to, once again, have a direct say in the development of a new vision for our forests, our industry, and our communities.
A debate arose.

The Hon. W. Oppal (Attorney General and Minister Responsible for Multiculturalism) tabled the following:
Crown Proceeding Act Report for the Fiscal Year Ended March 31, 2007, and
British Columbia Utilities Commission Annual Report, 2006/07.
Mr. Routley made representations regarding the point of privilege raised by the Hon. G. Abbott (Minister of Health) on November 22, 2007.
The Hon. M. de Jong advised the House of an agreement pursuant to Standing Order 81.1 (1) with respect to the completion of Bill (No. 44) intituled Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets Act, Bill (No. 45) intituled Maa-nulth First Nations Final Agreement Act, and Bill (No. 46) intituled First Nations Education Act by the end of the day on Thursday, November 29, 2007. However, agreement could not be reached under the provisions of section (1) of Standing Order 81.1 in relation to Bill (No. 39) intituled Electoral Boundaries Commission Amendment Act, 2007, and Bill (No. 43) intituled Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority Amendment Act, 2007, and therefore moved the following motion:
Pursuant to Standing Order 81.1 (2), on or before November 29, 2007 at 6 p.m. all remaining stages on Bill (No. 43) intituled Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority Amendment Act, 2007 shall be completed and disposed of. At 4 p.m. on the date mentioned, the Speaker and the Chair of Committee of the Whole will forthwith put all necessary questions for the disposal of all remaining stages of the said Bill without amendment or debate. Any divisions called on the second or third reading of such Bill may be taken in accordance with Standing Order 16 and all other divisions will be covered by Practice Recommendation No. 1. Proceedings under this motion shall not be subject to the provisions of Standing Order 81 or the Standing or Sessional Orders relating to times and days of sittings of the House.
