Be it resolved that this House recognize the critical role of the oil and gas sector in B.C.’s economy.

Be it resolved that this House recognizes the dangers of using a mobile phone while driving and especially encourages young drivers to not use cell phones while driving.

Be it resolved that this House promote the StrongStart BC early learning program and the importance of early literacy skills.

Be it resolved that this House supports stronger sentences for criminals convicted of serious crime.

Be it resolved that this House recognize the work of British Columbia’s search and rescue workers in serving the citizens of British Columbia, and encourage the billing of rescue costs to those who deliberately trespass out-of-bounds areas in British Columbia’s many parks and ski hills.

Be it resolved that this House does not support organizations that call for boycotts of products from British Columbia’s resource industries.

Be it resolved that this House recognizes the financial burden faced by northern residents who need to travel for health care reasons, and the role Government can play in helping to ease that burden.

Be it resolved that this House recognizes the importance of adoption in the province of BC and the benefits to children and families.

Be it resolved that this House supports the ongoing discussions and implementation of the Campus 2020 report and recognize actions already taken by government.

Be it resolved that this House acknowledge the efforts of regional and municipal governments to reduce their citizens’ collective environmental impact through curbside composting programs and be it further resolved that this House call upon other local governments to follow their example.

Be it resolved that this House recognizes the contributions of British Columbian members of Canada’s armed forces who risk their lives to bring stability to the world and security to Canada.

Be it resolved that in the tradition of honouring British Columbia’s fallen soldiers from previous wars, this House encourages the BC government to create a monument honouring British Columbian soldiers who gave their life fighting the war in Afghanistan.

Be it resolved that this House recognizes the tremendous environmental and economic benefits associated with fostering the development of alternative energy technologies.
