The Hon. G. Abbott (Minister of Health) tabled a document intituled Capital Project Plan – Replacement of the Fort St. John Hospital, April 11, 2008.

The Hon. O. Ilich (Minister of Labour and Citizens’ Services) tabled the Worksafe BC 2007 Annual Report and 2008–2010 Service Plan.

Pursuant to Sessional Order, order called for Section A of Committee of Supply.

The House resumed the adjourned debate on the amendment to the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 18) intituled Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Cap and Trade) Act.

The debate on the amendment continued.

On the motion of Mr. Dix, the debate on the amendment was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

The Speaker ruled as follows:

Bill (No. M 202), British Columbia Rail Corridor Safety Act, 2008, was introduced today by the Member for Cariboo South. I have had an opportunity to review the Bill. I note that sections 3, 4 and 6 create an impost, therefore the Bill is out of order in the hands of a Private Member and will not proceed to second reading.

26. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $1,527,012,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Employment and Income Assistance, Ministry Operations, to 31st March, 2009.

43. Resolved, That a sum not exceeding $970,553,000 be granted to Her Majesty to defray the expenses of Ministry of Transportation, Ministry Operations, to 31st March, 2009.


Section A of Committee of Supply reported the Resolutions and completion of the estimates of the Ministry of Employment and Income Assistance and the Ministry of Transportation.

Report to be considered at the next sitting.
