The Hon. B. Barisoff (Speaker) tabled the Ombudsman Public Report No. 45: Last Resort: Improving Fairness and Accountability in British Columbia’s Income Assistance Program.

The House proceeded to “Orders of the Day.”

Order called for “Private Members’ Statements.”

Be it resolved that this House agree to apply the spirit of “Jordan’s Principle” to ensure that children will be made first priority when it comes to health and safety needs and that jurisdictional disputes are secondary to the health and welfare of children and families on reserve.

A debate arose.

On the motion of Mr. Wyse, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.
