Pursuant to Sessional Order, order called for Section A of Committee of Supply.

The House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 9) intituled Consumption Tax Rebate and Transition Act.

The debate continued.

Mr. Farnworth moved the following amendment —

That Bill (No. 9) not be read a second time now but that the subject matter be forwarded to the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services and further that the committee be empowered to invite witnesses to appear before it to assist in its deliberation.

On the motion of Mr. Slater, the debate on the amendment was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

When will the Province act on the recommendations contained in the October, 2009 “Report on Review of the Transportation Governance Model” by the Office of the Comptroller General, Ministry of Finance?
