The Hon. B. Barisoff (Speaker) tabled the following documents:

Auditor General Report 1: April 2011, Follow-up Report: Updates on the Implementation of Recommendations from Recent Reports;

Representative for Children and Youth Issue Report: Phallometric Testing and B.C.’s Youth Justice System, April 2011; and,

Conflict of Interest Commissioner Annual Report, 2010.

The Hon. B. Penner (Attorney General) presented to the Speaker a Message from His Honour the Administrator, which read as follows:

The Administrator transmits herewith Bill (No. 4) intituled Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) Initiative Vote and Referendum Act and recommends the same to the Legislative Assembly.

That Douglas Horne, Member for Coquitlam-Burke Mountain Electoral District, be appointed Deputy Chair of the Committee of the Whole for this Session of the Legislative Assembly.

By leave, the Hon. R. Coleman moved —

That Bruce Ralston, MLA, be substituted by John Horgan, MLA, as a Member of the Special Committee of Selection.

Pursuant to Order, the House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion “That the Speaker do now leave the Chair” for the House to go into Committee of Supply.

The debate continued.

On the motion of Mr. Letnick, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

Pursuant to section 33(3) of the Constitution Act:

A declaration by the Member of the Electoral District of Vancouver-Point Grey (Mr. Campbell) of his intention to resign his seat as a Member of the Legislative Assembly, effective March 15, 2011, was delivered to the Speaker.
