Mr. Krog rose on a matter of privilege regarding comments attributed to the Member by the Attorney General on October 5, 2011, during Oral Question Period.

The Speaker stated that he would take the matter under advisement.

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 2) intituled Flathead Watershed Area Conservation Act, a debate arose.

The debate continued.

The Hon. S. Bond (Attorney General) made a statement and an apology regarding comments made on October 5, 2011, during Oral Question Period.

The debate on second reading of Bill (No. 2) continued.

On the motion of Mr. Donaldson, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

And then the House adjourned at 11.56 a.m.

The House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 2) intituled Flathead Watershed Area Conservation Act.

The debate continued.

Bill (No. 2) read a second time and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for committal at the next sitting after today.

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 3) intituled Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Amendment Act, 2011, a debate arose.

The debate continued.

On the motion of Mr. D. Routley, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

3  Mr. Dix to move —

Be it resolved that this House supports the fair and equal treatment of all survivors of Woodlands School.

4  Ms. Popham to move —

Be it resolved that the House urges the Government to act immediately to break down interprovincial barriers so that consumers can take their purchases from British Columbia’s wineries across provincial borders.

5  Mr. Simons to move —

Be it resolved that this House urges the Government to immediately halt the closure of group homes in British Columbia.

6  Ms. Corrigan to move —

Be it resolved that this House urges the Government to conduct a full and comprehensive review of the effect of the Federal Government’s Safe Streets and Communities Act on British Columbia’s judicial and corrections systems, including but not limited to, an accounting of the total financial burden the Act will have on the Province of British Columbia.

7  Mr. Horgan to move —

Be it resolved that this House urges the Government to direct the B.C. Utilities Commission to do a full and comprehensive review of the Smart Metering Program.

8  Mr. Hawes to move —

Be it resolved that this House support the proclamation of an anti-racism day to recognize that the Jewish Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, and more recently, the slaughters in Rwanda and Darfur were the ultimate manifestation of racism.
