Graeme Bowbrick was appointed Attorney General and Minister Responsible for Human Rights on November 1, 2000.

Mr. Bowbrick previously served as Minister of Advanced Education, Training and Technology and Minister Responsible for Youth from February 2000 to November 2000. He was previously Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Education, Skills and Training.

Mr. Bowbrick was first elected in 1996 to represent the riding of New Westminster.

Before his election to the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Bowbrick practised poverty law with the Westminster Community Legal Services Society in New Westminster. He also worked as an analyst with the Ministry of Attorney General.

Mr. Bowbrick completed a bachelor of arts degree in political science and history at Simon Fraser University before studying law at the University of Victoria. He was called to the bar in 1993.

Mr. Bowbrick lives in New Westminster and has two sons, Colin and Adam.
