Prior to her election to the B.C. Legislature, Katherine Whittred was a social studies and history teacher. She has lived in North Vancouver for more than 30 years and is also involved in the family-owned manufacturing business. Ms. Whittred has served on the Advisory Planning Commission for the city of North Vancouver and is past-president of the Flicka Gym Club. Since her election, she has held the positions of critic for seniors and chair of the official opposition caucus. Currently, she is chair of the caucus health committee and a member of two legislative committees. Katherine and Don Whittred have three children and two grandchildren. |
