Paul Nettleton was first elected to the BC Legislature as the member for Prince George – Omineca in 1996 and has served as Aboriginal Economic Development critic as well as the BC Rail critic for the Official Opposition.
Paul was re-elected to the legislature in 2001. He holds a law degree from the University of British Columbia and has worked both in criminal law and on behalf of First Nations through the Dene Law Centre. Before practicing law, Paul worked as a logger, mill-worker, real estate agent and musician.
Born in Victoria, Paul now lives in Prince George. He resides there with his wife Elite, and their two children Disa (8) and Thorin (5).
In 2003 Paul became an Independent MLA.
