Charlie Wyse was elected as the MLA for Cariboo South on May 17, 2005.
Charlie serves as Opposition Critic for Agriculture and Lands, as well as Critic for Municipal Affairs.
Charlie has a long history of working for his community.
He served on Williams Lake City Council for 23 years, chairing the finance committee among other portfolios. He has been a director for the Cariboo Regional District and has chaired the Central Cariboo-Chilcotin Health Council.
He also served 5 years as a member of the Northern Interior Mental Health Planning Committee.
Charlie held several positions with the teachers' union and was awarded an honourary life membership in the Cariboo-Chilcotin Teachers' Association upon his retirement in June 2004.
Charlie has also worked as an advocate for seniors' concerns, on mental health issues, and has coached a variety of sports with both children and adults.
