HOME OWNER GRANT AMENDMENT ACT, 1992

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

1 Section 2 (2.1) of the Home Owner Grant Act, S.B.C. 1980, c. 18, is repealed.

2 Sections 3, 3.1 and 3.2 are each amended

(a) by repealing subsections (3.1) and (4.1), and

(b) in subsection (5) by striking out "and the supplementary grant under subsection (3.1)".

3 Schedules 1 and 2 are repealed and the following substituted:

SCHEDULE 1
Current Year Taxes	Amount of Grant
$800 or more	$450
Less than $800	Current year taxes minus $350

SCHEDULE 2
Current Year Taxes	Amount of Grant
$820 or more	$720
Less than $820	Current year taxes minus $100

Commencement

4 This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on January 1, 1992 and is retroactive to the extent necessary to give it effect on and after that date.
