The Lieutenant Governor transmits herewith Bill (No. 50) intituled Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and recommends the same to the Legislative Assembly.

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Order called for "Private Members' Statements."

By leave, on the motion of the Hon. G. Clark, the House reverted to routine proceedings to consider Motion 1 on the Order Paper.

1  Mr. Dosanjh moved--
Be it resolved that this House calls on the Government of Canada to expeditiously provide a reasonable redress for the injustice of the Chinese Head Tax, an issue of concern to all Canadians, and the Chinese Canadians in particular. The said redress must be provided and agreed upon in consultations with the Chinese Canadian Community.

The debate continued.

NOTICE OF MOTIONS

57  Ms. Reid to move--
That the Provincial Government embark upon a public awareness campaign warning women of the effects of alcohol consumption during pregnancy on their unborn child and also require an appropriately worded warning of the same on all alcoholic beverage containers.
