The debate on the amendment continued.

On the motion of Mr. Anderson, the debate on the amendment was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

And then the House adjourned at 11.56 a.m.

Two o'clock p.m.

The Hon. M. Sihota (Minister of Labour and Consumer Services and Minister Responsible for Constitutional Affairs) made a ministerial statement relating to initiatives of the Workers' Compensation Board.

Mr. Farrell-Collins made a statement.

Mr. Hanson made a statement.

Order called for "Oral Questions by Members."

Mr. Mitchell rose on an alleged matter of privilege regarding release to the news media of details of legislation prior to introduction of such legislation in the House.

The Speaker stated that she would take the matter under advisement.

The Hon. D. Miller (Minister of Forests) tabled the Annual Report of the Ministry of Forests, 1991-1992.

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Order for Committee of Supply called.

Pursuant to Sessional Order, order called for Section A of Committee of Supply (estimates of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food).

The House resumed the adjourned debate on the amendment to the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 33) initituled Human Rights Amendment Act, 1993.

The debate on the amendment continued.
