The Lieutenant Governor transmits herewith Bill (No. 68) intituled Health Council Act and recommends the same to the Legislative Assembly.

Second reading at the next sitting after today.

The Hon. G. Clark (Minister of Finance and Corporate Relations) advised the Chair of his intention to raise a matter of privilege.

Order called for "Oral Questions by Members."

The Hon. A. Charbonneau (Minister of Transportation and Highways) tabled the Annual Report of the British Columbia Ferry Corporation, 1992-1993.

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Bill (No. 35) intituled Local Elections Reform Act, 1993 was again committed.

The Committee rose, reported progress and asked leave to sit again.

Bill to be considered later today.

In consideration of a proposed amendment on the Order Paper to section 10 (section 67) of Bill (No. 35) the Committee divided.

The amendment was defeated on the following division:

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 65) intituled Employment Standards Amendment Act, 1993, a debate arose.

The debate continued.

Mr. Jarvis moved the following amendment --
That the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 65) be amended by deleting the word "now" and substituting therefor the words "six months hence."

The debate on the amendment continued.
