The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Bill (No. 57) intituled Municipal Affairs, Recreation and Housing Statutes Amendment Act, 1993 was committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

Bill (No. 59) intituled Vancouver Charter Amendment Act, 1993 was committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

Bill (No. 75) intituled Library Foundation of British Columbia Act was committed.

Mr. Fox moved a proposed amendment to section 2 (1) of Bill (No. 75) as follows:

SECTION 2, is hereby amended by adding to section 2, subsection (1) the following:

"from a list of nominees made by the Library Association of British Columbia, and from non-affiliated public libraries."

The amendment was defeated on the following division:

Two o'clock p.m.

Order called for "Oral Questions by Members."

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Mr. Mitchell rose on an alleged matter of privilege regarding Questions on Notice on the Order Paper to which there had been no response.

The Speaker stated that she would take the matter under advisement.

The Hon. A. Petter (Minister of Aboriginal Affairs) tabled the Financial Statements of the Provincial Capital Commission as at March 31, 1993.

Bill (No. 75) intituled Library Foundation of British Columbia Act was again committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 76) intituled Cultural Foundation of British Columbia Act, a debate arose.

The debate continued.

Bill (No. 76) read a second time and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for committal at the next sitting after today.

Bill (No. 77) intituled Engineers and Geoscientists Amendment Act, 1993 was committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

Bill (No. 38) intituled Emergency Program Act was committed.

The Committee rose, reported progress and asked leave to sit again.

Bill to be considered later today.

The House was Ordered recessed until 6.30 o'clock p.m. and to sit later tonight.

Bill (No. 46) intituled Tobacco Tax Amendment Act, 1993 was committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

Bill (No. 38) intituled Emergency Program Act was again committed, reported complete with amendment and by leave read a third time and passed.

On the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 80) intituled Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2), 1993, a debate arose.

Bill (No. 80) read a second time and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for committal at the next sitting after today.

Bill (No. 67) intituled Residential Tenancy Amendment Act, 1993 was again committed and reported complete with amendment.

Bill as reported to be considered at the next sitting after today.

The Hon. M. Sihota advised that the House will sit Wednesday, pursuant to Standing Order 2 (2).

And then the House adjourned at 10.05 p.m.
