1. With respect to the offer made by the Chemainus Health Care Centre Society to cooperate with the amalgamation process if the Minister of Health would sign a trust agreement for the land donated to the community in 1898:
What is the total assessed value of the land currently occupied by the Chemainus Health Care Centre and did that value play a part in the Minister of Health's decision to discharge the Chemainus Health Care Centre Society Board on June 26, 1997 and therefore delete this Board's proposal?
2. With respect to the emergency room at Chemainus Health Care Centre:
What is the cost of operating the emergency room at the Chemainus Health Care Centre 24 hours per day, and has the Health Minister conducted an analysis of how much a potential closure will save versus the impact of the closure on patients' lives?
