PROPOSED AMENDMENTS ON NOTICE

2  The Hon. P. Ramsey to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 2) intituled Budget Transparency and Accountability Act to amend as follows:

SECTION 33, by deleting "and 11.1" and substituting ", 11.1 and 11.2".

SECTION 53, by renumbering the section as section 53 (1) and adding the following subsection:

(2) Sections 41 to 51 [repeal of annual ministry reports under other Acts] come into force on March 31, 2002.

3  The Hon. P. Ramsey to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 3) intituled Budget Measures Implementation Act, 2000 to amend as follows:

SECTION 4.1, by adding the following:


Ferry Corporation Act

4.1 Section 16 (1) of the Ferry Corporation Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 137, is repealed and the following substituted:

(1) The outstanding debt of the corporation arising from borrowings during the fiscal years ending on March 31, 2001 and March 31, 2002, as calculated under subsection (2), must not exceed $150 million minus the proceeds from the sale during those fiscal years of any ferries owned by the corporation.
