The Lieutenant Governor transmits herewith a Bill (No. 9) intituled Cooperative Association Amendment Act, 2000 and recommends the same to the Legislative Assembly.

The Hon. A. Petter (Attorney General and Minister Responsible for Human Rights) presented to the Speaker a Message from His Honour the Lieutenant Governor, which read as follows:

The Hon. S. Hammell (Minister of Multiculturalism and Immigration) tabled the Report on Multiculturalism, 1998-1999.

The Hon. J. Smallwood (Minister of Women's Equality) made a ministerial statement regarding Equality Day.

Ms. Stephens made a statement.

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Pursuant to Order, the House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion "That the Speaker do now leave the Chair" for the House to go into Committee of Supply.

The debate continued.
