The House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion for second reading of Bill (No. 14) intituled Local Government Statutes Amendment Act, 2000.

Bill (No. 14) read a second time and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for committal at the next sitting after today.

Bill (No. 13) intituled Motor Carrier Amendment Act, 2000 was committed, reported complete without amendment, read a third time and passed.

Pursuant to Sessional Order, order called for Section B of Committee of Supply (estimates of the Ministry of Energy and Mines).

The Hon. H. Lali (Minister of Transportation and Highways) tabled the Ministry of Transportation and Highways Annual Report, 1998/99.

Mr. Thorpe presented the First Report of the Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts for the Fourth Session of the Thirty-sixth Parliament.

The Report was taken as read and received.

By leave of the House, Mr. Thorpe moved that the Report be adopted.

Motion agreed to.

Would you please advise what action you are taking with respect to the shortage of services related to speech language pathology for children in the South Okanagan?

Would you please confirm there is a growing waiting list for services pertaining to autistic children in the South Okanagan?
