AN ACT TO RESTORE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
IN GREATER VANCOUVER

Preamble

WHEREAS the present dispute between Coast Mountain Bus Company and its employees is causing great hardship to all of the residents of Greater Vancouver

AND WHEREAS Coast Mountain Bus Company appears intransigent and prepared to continue the dispute indefinitely

AND WHEREAS the Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority ("Translink") is the parent company of Coast Mountain Bus Company

THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

Mediator's report basis of collective agreement

1 (1) The Board of Translink is hereby ordered to direct its subsidiary Coast Mountain to accept the recommendations of the report of mediator Vince Ready and sign a new collective agreement based on these recommendations forthwith.

Commencement

2 This bill comes into effect on the date that it is assented to by the Legislature. This Act comes into force by regulation of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
