21 The Hon. S. Hagen to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 21) intituled Agricultural Land Commission Act to amend as follows:
SECTION 1, in the proposed definition of "authority" by deleting "another person" and substituting "a public officer".
SECTION 26, in the proposed subsection (1) (b) by deleting "another person" and substituting "a public officer".
26 The Hon. M. Coell to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 26) intituled Employment and Assistance Act to amend as follows:
SECTION 1, in the proposed definition of "dependent child" by deleting "a child who" and substituting "a child, other than a child who is 18 years of age and is a person with disabilities, who".
SECTION 8, by deleting the proposed section 8 (1) and substituting the following:
(1) For a family unit to be eligible for income assistance, at least one applicant in the family unit must have
(a) been employed for remuneration for at least the prescribed number of hours in each of two consecutive years,
(b) earned remuneration for employment in at least the prescribed amount in each of two consecutive years, or
(c) been employed for remuneration for a portion of two consecutive years and for the balance of those years either
(i) served a waiting period in respect of, or received benefits under, a claim under the Employment Insurance Act (Canada), or
(ii) received income under a public or private income replacement program or plan.
SECTION 17, in the proposed subsection (1) (e) by deleting "terms and".
SECTION 23, in the proposed subsection (1) (a) (iii) by deleting "section 19 (4)" and substituting "section 19 (5)".
27 The Hon. M. Coell to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 27) intituled Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Act to amend as follows:
SECTION 1, in the proposed definition of "dependent child" by deleting "a child who" and substituting "a child, other than a child who is 18 years of age and is a person with disabilities, who".
SECTION 2, in the proposed subsection (2) by deleting "19 years" and substituting "18 years".
SECTION 2, in the proposed subsection (3) (b)
(a) by deleting "or" at the end of subparagraph (i),
(b) by adding "or" at the end of subparagraph (ii), and
(c) by adding the following subparagraph:
(iii) the services of an assistance animal.
SECTION 16, in the proposed subsection (1) (e) by deleting "terms" and substituting "conditions".
SECTION 32, in the proposed subsection (1) (b) by deleting "income assistance or" and substituting "income assistance, hardship assistance or".
32 The Hon. J. Murray to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 32) intituled Waste Management Amendment Act, 2002 to amend as follows:
SECTION 1, in the proposed section 26.4 (4.1) by adding "or to have been" after "considered to be".
SECTION 2, by deleting the proposed section 27 (6) and (7) and substituting the following:
(6) In all cases the site that is the subject of an action or proceeding must be determined or considered under section 26.4 to be or to have been a contaminated site before the court can hear the matter.
(7) Despite subsection (6), if independent remediation has been carried out at a site and the site has not been determined or considered under section 26.4 to be or to have been a contaminated site, the court must determine whether the site is or was a contaminated site.
SECTION 7, in the proposed section 28.93 (b) by adding "or coal" after "mineral" wherever it appears.
SECTION 12, in the proposed section 84.1 by deleting "division head" wherever it appears and substituting "commission".
34 The Hon. C. Clark to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 34) intituled School Amendment Act, 2002 to amend as follows:
SECTION 6, by deleting "Division 2 of Part 1:" and substituting "Division 2 of Part 2:".
35 The Hon. K. Falcon to move, in Committee of the Whole on Bill (No. 35) intituled Deregulation Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2), 2002 to amend as follows:
SECTION 30, by deleting the proposed section 30 and substituting the following:
30 Section 143 (3) is amended by striking out "24 (2)" and "72 (2)".
SECTION 56.1, by adding the following section:
56.1 Section 105.91 (4) is amended by adding ", 105.95" after "105.93".
