Order for "Private Members' Statements" called.

 
5  By leave, Ms. MacPhail moved --

That this House calls upon the government to halt the plan to income test seniors, to make public all hearings related to the broader review of Pharmacare announced December 3, 2002, and to ensure that seniors are included in that process.

A debate arose.

On the motion of Mr. Nijjar, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

And then the house adjourned at 12.03 p.m.

The Hon. S. Hagen (Minister of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries) presented to the Speaker a Message from Her Honour the Lieutenant Governor, which read as follows:

The Hon. G. Campbell (Premier) made a ministerial statement regarding the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Bid.

Ms. MacPhail made a statement.

The Hon. C. Richmond (Speaker) tabled the following:

Auditor General 2002/2003: Report 9: A Review of Government Oversight of Multi-Employer Public Sector Pension Plans in British Columbia; and Auditor General Service Plan 2003/04 - 2005/06.

The House proceeded to "Orders of the Day."

Pursuant to Order, the House resumed the adjourned debate on the motion "That the Speaker do now leave the Chair" for the House to go into Committee of Supply.

The debate continued.

On the motion of the Hon. S. Santori, the debate was adjourned to the next sitting of the House.

And then the House adjourned at 5.57 p.m.

 24  Ms. Roddick to move--
Be it resolved that this House recognizes the value of greater provincial influence over federal policy and management of the B.C. wild fishery to increase revenues and protect jobs in the B.C. seafood sector.
