Position Summary

Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

Human Resource Operations will be implementing a new payroll system in 2019/2020. In preparation for this major project, we are seeking two experienced payroll and benefits professionals to complement our team as Payroll & Benefits Coordinators.

Reporting to the Manager, Payroll and Benefits, the Payroll & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely delivery of payroll using an in-house payroll system (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains). Your in-depth payroll and benefits knowledge, attention to detail and strong interpersonal abilities make you ideal for this role.

Qualifications

​Applicants must have a current Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification or equivalent and at least three years' related working experience.

Other preferred qualifications include experience working with in-house payroll systems, CPM certification (or working towards it), related degree or diploma, and experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP.
