Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Information Technology department is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced and professional individual for the regular full-time position of Security Analyst.
Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, the Security Analyst is responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on various network security products and contributing to setting the security direction for the organization. This position monitors and maintains network and computer security policies with a focus on managing network vulnerabilities.

Applicants must have a college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or information security and 5 years' experience in an information security and governance related role. Prior experience in network design and analysis, configuring and managing security devices and firewalls, and monitoring IP traffic and troubleshooting network issues is required.
