Position Summary

Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies. The Parliamentary Dining Room is open Monday to Friday.

The Parliamentary Dining Room is seeking four talented and reliable individuals for the position of Second Cook on an as-and-when basis. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Second Cook is responsible for preparing foods and dishes, maintaining records of food, supplies and equipment, and ensuring work area organization and cleanliness. Qualifications

​Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel or private club facility. FoodSafe Level 1 certification and the completion of Culinary trade certification or equivalent are required.
